Picture Your Health: Your Future

Please note that the North West LHIN Picture Your Health: Your Future Engagement Campaign, which ran from March 12, 2018 – May 7, 2018, is now closed. Over an eight week period, the North West LHIN collected feedback both through in-person stakeholder and community engagement sessions, and online feedback through an engagement hub, survey and social media. The feedback received will help to inform the development of the Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP) 2019-2022.

A comprehensive report of all feedback received will be available to the public in the upcoming months. For summaries of the community workshops hosted across the region during the campaign, visit What We Heard from Communities.

The North West LHIN Integrated Health Service Plan 2019-2022

The North West LHIN is excited to launch an interactive community engagement initiative called Picture Your Health: Your Future. The campaign encourages residents to picture a future of health care that they want to see, and exploring what changes to the system are needed in order to make that picture a reality.

The North West LHIN will use residents’ feedback to develop the Integrated Health Services Plan (IHSP) 2019-2022, which guides decisions about health system transformation, health service delivery and funding allocations over a three-year period.

Make your voice heard, and share your vision for health care in your community through story-telling, photo, video and text.

Picture Your Health: Your Story will kick off on March 12 and extend until May 7, 2018.

To make sure the North West LHIN hears from as many resident and stakeholders as possible, there are a number of ways to participate. You can provide your feedback through community workshops, survey, through the North West LHIN online engagement hub, or via social media. The North West LHIN will also have a presence at key community expos and events.

Community Session Dates

In addition to community engagement sessions happening across the region, there are many ways to get involved and provide your feedback. Participants may visit the online hub at www.pictureyourhealth.ca, take the online survey, request  a paper survey, call or email the North West LHIN, or visit us on social media #PictureYourHealth and @NorthWestLHIN.

What is the Integrated Health Service Plan?

The IHSP V will align with the strategic goals and vision for Ontario’s health system as described in the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s Patients First: Action Plan for Health Care. In addition, the IHSP V will reaffirm the commitment to continue advancing the North West LHIN Health Services Blueprint introduced in 2012 that focuses on greater integration of services, better health outcomes, and quality improvement to enhance the care experiences of patients, residents, caregivers, and families. β€‹

From 2019-2022, the North West LHIN’s IHSP V will continue to build an integrated health care system through four priorities:

  • Improving the Patient Care Experience
  • Improving Access to Care and Reducing Inequities
  • Building an Integrated eHealth Framework, and
  • Ensuring Health System Accountability and Sustainability
